About The Author

R.B. Wilcox is a licensed professional engineer (P.E.) and runs his consulting business out of his home in upstate New York. He also holds the rank of 4th degree black belt in Hombu style (USAF) Aikido, and has his own dojo in Kingston, New York, Kingston Aikido.

He took an interest in meditation and Buddhism as a natural extension of his martial arts practice, and his routine includes daily meditation and the ongoing study of Aikido. He has studied Buddhism on his own and attended various Buddhist teachings, and received refuge from Khenpo Tashi Gyaltsen, of Sherabling Institute in India. He has been vegetarian for ten years, but still misses eating fish and stuffed clams!

Mr. Wilcox recently concluded a one-month monastery tour and benefit trip to Kham in Eastern Tibet, where he traveled with Ven. Bardor Tulku Rinpoche and Lama Sangye Tenzin and helped support and distrubute aid to an orphanage and school in the Rakrul area of Nanchen.
