Paperback - 151 pages - Published June 2004

Press Release - September, 2004

This upbeat recently published story provides the reader with the essential teachings of Buddhism, wrapped in a fast-paced and easy to read science-fiction/fantasy plot. It presents the concepts of individual karma and reincarnation as concrete and easily accessible rather than abstract. What would the world be like if everyone could see their personal karmic "score" and chances for a good rebirth easily, online, and updated with each positive or negative action? Benefits to the reader include an introduction to the basics of Buddhism, a quick and easy read, and an optimistic view of the future based on positive actions on the part of the individual. While fictional, the book also evokes self-examination and is intended to motivate readers to make positive lifestyle changes using simple "tests" for daily decision-making which employ principles derived from Buddhist philosophy.

R.B. Wilcox is a martial arts instructor and independent consulting engineer with an interest in Buddhism. He lives in rural upstate New York, where he runs his Aikido school, works from home, and tries hard not to harm any sentient beings. His diverse background includes a unique blend of engineering, martial arts, meditation, and Buddhist practice.
